A clear document list and an agreed handover record prevent avoidable gaps.
Choose the transport method
Container and roll-on/roll-off options depend on route, vehicle, sailing availability and handling requirements. Request a shipment-specific plan rather than assuming one method fits every order.
Agree the document list
The documents needed may include commercial invoice, packing list, transport document and vehicle-specific or destination-specific records. Exact requirements must be checked with the importer and relevant parties.
Record pre-shipment condition
Specify what will be photographed and inspected: vehicle identification, exterior, interior, equipment and any agreed checks. Keep the record linked to the actual vehicle.
Clarify destination responsibilities
Import clearance, tax, registration and local compliance responsibilities should be written clearly. The chosen trade term does not replace a detailed scope of work.
General procurement planning information. The order agreement and applicable destination requirements determine the final terms.
